Film Acting Technique II builds on skills learned in Tech I, but offers alternative exercises. What is 'character'? What defines it? Students learn to examine their character's point of view and background, while exploring various behavorial, object, and visualization exercises. Concentration is on subtext, memory, sensory recall, and making stronger motivational choices. Both comedic and dramatic scenes are assigned and their stylistic challenges and approaches taught. Scenes and exercises are filmed in a two-camera simultaneous editing process, and replayed each class for discussion and critique.
Available in the July Academy, August Academy, Fall Program, Winter Program, and Spring Program
